Compass - School Age Childcare Assistant
Compass is Alexandria Community Education’s school-age care program, providing before- and after-school, non-school day, and summer care for students PreK–5th Grade.
The Summer Compass program is held at Woodland Elementary School and the Early Education Center, where students and staff:
- Embark on exciting field trips across Minnesota.
- Enjoy the Shenanigans indoor playground.
- Participate in engaging activities like 4-H, gardening, gym time, and structured activities.
- Spend plenty of time outside for fun and exploration!
Perfect for: High school and college students seeking summer work or experience in teaching/child development.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Essential Functions
- Support the planning and implementation of daily child care activities.
- Supervise site areas and participate in activities aligned with program goals.
Schedule:
- The program runs June 2–August 22, 2025 (Closed June 19 & July 4).
- Part-Time: Monday–Friday, 12:00–5:30 PM.
- Full-Time Options: Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:00, 8:30–4:30, or 9:00–5:00.
Compensation: $14
